In the summer of 2009 my uncle came to visit from California with his wife and son. In California fireworks are illegal due to the air conditions there, so all the boys thought it was a wonderful idea to spend two hundred dollars on fireworks to set off that night. A fact you must know is that my uncle is a rocket scientist, which is what makes this story funny. Since my uncle hadn't set off fireworks since he was a kid he decided to light the first one off. He lit the firework, slid it into the cardboard tube and held the tube in place. The tube exploded, the rocket had been placed in upside down. Glen burst into laughter and said, "And you're the rocket scientist?" Then said that he better light off the next one to show my uncle how it's done. Glen lit the firework, slid it into the cardboard tube, and BOOM the tube exploded inches away from him. Glen freaked out from the giant explosion and the flames for about a minute then burst into laughter. Our family never let Glen or my uncle live that story down and it will be remembered forever.
